Volunteer With Us

Be part of the crew behind West Michigan’s biggest Mexican festival.

Every September, 100+ volunteers are the reason Festival Mexicano happens. They put the tents up, serve food to 30,000 people, keep the kids’ area stocked with piñatas, and help El Grito happen at 7 PM sharp on Saturday. If you want to be on that crew — here’s how.

Four Ways to Volunteer

Pick a role that fits your style. You’ll choose your preferred area when you sign up below.

Event Setup & Logistics

Arrive Friday morning and help the tents go up, the booths come to life, the plaza transform. Best for early risers who like seeing a festival get built from scratch.

Stage & Entertainment

Work alongside mariachi bands, folklórico dancers, and the Saturday-night DJ. You’ll cue performers, run sound checks, and help El Grito happen on time.

Food & Beverage

Help our 20+ vendors serve thousands of meals over three days. Fast pace, incredible smells, and easy to sneak a bite of birria between rushes.

Guest Services

Welcome visitors at info booths, give directions, help lost kids find their parents. Best for people who like being the friendly face of a big event.
